this is my personal experince, my husband is a chronic smoker, i tried every thing to stop him smoking, but nothing made him to stop. when i was pregnant i took an oppurtunity and made my mind some how i will make him quit. whenever he smokes i use to sit infront of him. he use to shout at me and say passive smoking is more dangerous, it will affect my kid, he use to request me to go away. i use to say that active smoking is also dangerous my husband, if you quit i will. then he made a mind and he left smoking.  Number of studies have been  conducted and came with the conclusion that  passive smokers  are at more risk of cancer than active smoker. , as active smoker smoke through a filter and passive smoke indirectly & directly inhale lot of noxious stuff , which is more dangerous.
