Does Plavix Causes Stomach Distress And Suggest Me Some Other Affordable Medicine?
I have been on Plavix, but it has caused some stomach disttress, so I was switched to Pradaxa, which I can NOT afford right now. I am thinking that I should go back to Plavix and do more to eliminate the stomach distress such as a mor intensive stomach exercies routine, which helped considerably before. Any advice? Does Pradaxa have a generic?? Thanks, Joe

Hi,
Plavix (Clopidogrel) can cause Abdominal pain; dyspepsia; diarrhea; nausea etc. Each dose may be taken without regard to meals.
There is currently no therapeutically equivalent version of Pradaxa (dabigatran) available in the United States.
