Does Pregnancy Cause Increase In The Thyroglobulin Level?

Hi I just have a question please I had a thyroid cancer, and I treated with a radioactive iodine after removed my thyroid since 4years ago ,and every thing is ok with blood test But now l m a pregnant For one month and my last blood test for thyroglobulin is 0.8 before that it was 0.5 My question is Is the pregnancy increase the thyroglobulin level or may be the cancer came back to me ? Please answer me I m so warry.

I understand your concern
Normally after thyroid gland removal thyroglobulin level should be
So you have 0.8 value. Not to worry to much.

Increase in thyroglobulin could be due to
1. Pregnancy: in pregnancy there is increase in hepatic synthesis of thyroglobulin.
2. If you have worry then malignant cancer should be rule out for safer side by consulting your oncologist after complete clinical evaluation.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
