Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had prolotherapy for chronic back pain. injections near the spine using dextrose. On the first treatment the dr. hit a nerve...tremendous pain like a shock to the body but he immediately pulled back. Kind of like hitting your funny bone but 100x more.
My question is could the injections of dextrose that cause inflamation or the injection that hit nerve or nerve branch cause erectile dysfunction? Although I can still get an erection and ejaculate it isn't nearly as hard to ejaculation satisfactory. The penis is flacid most of time and overall much more lethargic (best word i can find to describe). sex drive definitely down.
Question..could there have been a problem from procedure as described and if so can it just be temporary. Thank you.
Erectile dysfunction is best treated with the medication Viagra (sildenafil). This is very likely to improve your erection quality and duration. I would talk with a local doctor about prescribing this to you.
