Does Reduced Dosage Of Thyroid Medication Cause Anxiety, Depression And Brain Fog?

Hello, My doctor, who has lowered my intake of thyroid meds (100 mcg of levothyroxine to 88 mcg of synthroid) is not available today. Maybe you can help. I do not feel well. Anxious, brain fog, pain in chest, depressed, and heart feels like it s pounding . Should I be concerned, wait it out, or what? I thank you ahead of your answer.

Hi you have not lowered the dose assume as you say it is not available. The symptoms your experiencing maybe because of the high dose. So I suggest you lower your dose as quickly as you can. If you have already lowered the dose then it's better to wait a bit till you get used to the new dosage. However if you feel the symptoms are severe it'll be wise to see your doctor again. l hope this helps. Take care :)
