Does Reducing Sugar Intake Help Improve Memory Issues?

Hello I have excess fluid on the brain . The doctor wants me to have surgery where a tube is inserted in the brain for drainage. I have discovered that if I avoid sugar in all forms; I do not lose my memory for a short period of time. Would this be OK; or would there be other problems. e-mail address YYYY@YYYY

I warmly Welcome you!

There is a disease wherein there is problem with the drainage of Cerebrospinal Fluid in the ventricles of the brain. It causes pressure effects on the brain tissues around like a space occupying lesion and causes damages like memory loss etc.

No, curbing on the intake of sugar will not actually help alleviate the problem. You need proper and permanat cure of the disease. I think shunting surgery is the best option you should consider for. I feel sorry for the health worries you have and pray for the best times for you ahead.

Hope it helps. If you need further assistance anytime, feel free to contact me.

Regards!
