Does Regesterone Help In Maintaining Harmmone Balance?
i missed my period , in the last month my cycles are of 35-40 days cycle, i am not pregnant, report says, doctor prescribe me regestrone tab , and say that it is a hormonal imbalance , i just want to know that is the tab. safe to take, and how hormone balence comes normal
Hello, I can understand your concern. First of all i would recommend to confirm that it is a hormonal imbalance, than to treat it properly. Your age is also important and the result of the ovarian ultrasound (to rule out polycystic ovaries). At the 21-st day of the menstrual cycle you should check the progresterone level, if it is low than treatment with regesterone may help. A high prolactine level and an underactive thyroid can cause also delay of the menstrual cycle.
