Does Rise In Body Temperature After Ovulation Indicate Pregnancy?
I am 38 years old and trying for second baby, i am just under 9 stone and in good health generally. I seem to have had an elevated body temperature of 37.0 fo 37.4 since i ovulated around 11 days ago although I have done a preg test and neg (i know its a bit too early prob)! I have read that this could mean pregnancy. Any ideas?

Hi, I understand your query. Actually basal body temperature drops down on the day of ovulation & rises on the next day ( Bi phasic curve ) to remain high for next 10 - 14 days to drop down again during menses & 1st half of the cycle. So raised temperature after ovulation is a normal phenomenon.. it not necessarily indicates pregnancy. Confirmation of pregnancy is only by blood pregnancy test around expected date of menses/ UPT after 8 days delay in menses. Thanks.
