General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Impotency is unlikely. The infection usually affects the superficial parts of the scrotum and thus nerves and seminal vesicles will be intact.

If he experiences any symptoms, you can consult a urologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dermatologist Dr. Ilyas Patel's  Response
Hi,

There is no chance of impotence (erectile dysfunction) after surgery of fistula-in-ano or scrotal infection. But, there are chances of infertility if the testes are damaged in scrotal and testicular infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
