I had a sore red swollen eyelid which developed a blister and was diagnosed as shingles. However I was told that it was too late for medication to be effective. Since then I have had a similar soreness just insde the tip of my nose and I have uncomfortable feelings in side my ear and have noticed I am not hearinng very well in that ear. Do you think this is a continuation of the shingles and would medication be helpful? I am a woman aged 59.
Yes, shingles may cause neuropathic pain. It may present like burning sensation or tingling sensation. Use tablet tablet pregabalin 75 mg once a day for five days.
