I m having knee replacement surgery within the coming weeks. Several years ago I was schedule for the same surgery and I had a cold and the surgery was cancelled when I was admitted to the hospital. I m presently suffering from sinusitis or cold symptons, will this have an impact on the surgery/should I still undergo major surgery.
It is better to wait until the sinusitis and infection settle. It has got nothing to do with surgery, but anesthesia-related complications are very high when surgery is performed with sinusitis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
