Does Sleep Apnea Cause White Foam Released From The Mouth?
My husband has severe sleep apnea, and sleeps with a cpap. He is over weight and has swelling in his ankles. He fell asleep tonight without the cpap, and immediately started snoring. When I went to wake him, I noticed a substantial amount of white foam on his lips. What could cause this?

The foam may be related to the initial cause if sleep apnea not the apnea itself. He should get evaluated for lung function doing a spirometry and also consult an ENT doctor. Gastroesophageal reflux GERD can cause the apnea.
