Does Sore Throat With A Blister In Mouth Post Unprotected Sex Suggest HIV?
Well i had unprotected sex about a month ago. Immediately the next day i had a sore throat. Now i read its UNHEARD of to show symptoms if any at all after just one day... since then ihave been ok UNTIL now i have a small clearish blister in my mouth. Am i positive for HIV
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat with a blister in mouth post unprotected sex which is mainly due to upper respiratory tract infection as unprotected sex does not lead to that symptoms so early as it has long transmission period. Don't panic and stay in peace. I would suggest you to take anti-allergic medications along with antibiotics for 3-4 days. Do warm saline gargles. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Your symptoms will resolve. if your symptoms keeps on persisting visit oral pathologist once and get labs and blood tests done and start treatment accordingly. As you had unprotected sexual intercourse, then it is better to rule out HIV by taking a HIV combo test as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
