Does Sttopping Flupetixone And Melitracen Cause Anxiety?
Hi, my mother has been using Flupetixone and Melitracen combination from 3 years. As the availability of the drug is questionable in India, she is trying to stop that drug gradually. She started using 1 tab every two days initially to stop taking that drug. Now, after 1 month of using that drug alternative days or once in every three days, she stopped using it. But after 1 week after total cessation, she is feeling extreme anxiety, sleeplessness and other associated symptoms. Are these symptoms temporary? Or should she start using that drug again?

As per your history is concerned she has been given FLUPETIXONE+METRACEN ,these two drug combination is used for depression ,the first compound is an antipsychotic and second compound is a tricyclic antidepressant .Tis combination of drug has been banned in USA and other countries also.So if she is taking it she can take other medications for antipsychotic and tricyclic anti depressant which are available in india.(Thanks)
