Does Swelling And Redness Around Blister On Toe Indicate Harm?
Hi, i got a blister on my toe after wearing new shoes. The blister then became bigger, started to change colour, and the rest of my toe became swollen and red. I attended my gp yesterday morning and got antibiotics, i have so far taken 4 but i have a large red line travelling up my foot and leg, this seems to be getting longer and a little wider.
It seems that you are having shoe dermatitis with secondary bacterial infection with lymphangitis extending to upper part of leg in the form of red line. There is blister with swelling suggesting irritation to new shoes and infection. Blood tests may be done to rule out DM and HIV.Take bed rest with keeping leg elevated. Take heavy antibiotics like cefixime and anti inflammatory drugs. Apply antibiotic cream. Cleanse the foot with antiseptic like savlone liquid. You may get good result. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
