Does Taking Biotin For Hair Cause Irregular Periods?

Hi,I have regular like clock work cycles. Even have it marked on the calendar. (Pretty predictable. 4 days etc.....) Since started taking 5000mcg Biotin for hair and this cycle started on the day 28 and has been irregular. Needless to say, I have stopped taking it.

Hi,

Biotin usually don't have any effect on your period cycle. First check your complete blood count. Take iron profile too. Periods delaying up to 35 days is considered normal and 7 days prior also normal. From 21 to 35 days is considered normal. You can have biotin, it won't affect your periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
