General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hello,
Lisinopril is for high Blood Pressure (BP) and it cannot raise your blood pressure. Sometimes, more than two drugs are to be given to control BP.
When maximum dosages fail to control BP, then resistant hypertension is labelled. As you are on three drugs with two diuretics, please wait for 10 days.
Get yourself checked for kidney function as blood urea, serum creatinine, serum uric acid, decrease salt intake and alcohol, coffee consumption and go for morning or evening walk.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Varinder Joshi
