Does Taking Norethisterone Affect The Menstrual Cycle?
Hi Started to take Norethisterone today to delay my period, which was due on Sunday, as we are going on holiday on Monday. I ve started bleeding so my period has come early. Usually lasts about 4-5 days so the early period is fine but as I ve taken the Norethisterone this morning (5mg) is it likely my period will be affected and now stop?

The duration of this cycle depends on your body's response to norethisterone.Most women have normal duration of menstrual bleeding.However, some oven report prolonged bleeding following norethisterone intake.
Since you have started menstruating you can discontinue the norethisterone.
