Does Taking Ortane Cause Redness And Heating Up Of Arms?

I was just using the computer, not doing anything physical when all of a sudden, my left arm turned a little red and it feels hot. Now my right arm feels the same but less severe. I have been taking this medicine, i believe it is called Oratane, to treat my facial acne for about a month now, do you think that is the cause of this heat felt on my arms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is not a known side effect of this medication but persons react differently to medications so if it repeats, then you should speak to your doctor.

In some persons, these changes can relate to issues with either the circulation to an area or the nerves that supply that region.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
