Does Taking Paroxetine And Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen Together Cause Any Dangerous Side Effects?

My wife is taking paroxetine oral for depression. Last night she took a hydrocodone-acetaminophen pill for some severe shoulder pain as a result of an injury. She had some serious reactions during the night. Is there a negative reaction between these meds? Should she not use the hydrocodone and see her physician for different pain med?

The combination should best be avoided. Paroxetine will increase the level or effect of Hydrocodone by affecting the liver enzymes metabolizing it. Combination should best be avoided or different drug used
