Does Taking Tdap Vaccination Twice Cause Any Adverse Reaction?

Hi, I went to a vaccination center and submitted a request for a series of vaccines and titers, but unfortunately, I didn t check the final vaccines they gave me. I am certain I received a tdap when I was around 16 (and I think I d received one when I was a child too, if it is how they do tdap), but today I received another tdap mistakenly. Should I do anything about it? Thanks

Hi,

Tdap vaccine is a combination booster shot. It protects pre-teens and adults against three diseases: tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis.
Each dose of vaccine carries a small risk off side effects.
There is no particular extra risk with extra doses of Tdap and hence you need not worry.
