Does The Neck Trauma Need Any Medical Attention?

My one year old had a large branch fall on him, that his brother was pulling down. He has what looks like road rash on the back of his neck. I felt his head and there were no bumps. He has been crying for a half an hour. Is it safe for him to go to bed?

Hello,

Without examination, we don't know how severe it is. You have to consult your doctor to rule out any deep injuries to neck bone or muscles. Other in future, they may be developing chances of torticollis or spine compression or growth abnormalities. So please consult your pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
