Does Thick Endometrium Cause Abnormal Uterine Bleeding?

Hi, I just had a TVS due to abnormal uterine bleeding. Ultrasound report: normal size anteverted uterus, hyper-echoic intact sub-endometrial halo (thick endometrium) normal ovaries (no nabothian cysts). Can you please explain this further? Thank you.

Clinically it appears like- endometrial hyperplasia.
