I have mitral valve prolapse, have had bacterial endocarditis 16 yrs ago, am now being trated for fibromyalgia but now have a heartbeat of only 43 beats per minute and often irregular. Also have hashimoto's disease and am wondering if this is maybe caused by my thyroid, which wa ok when last checked 6 months ago. I am not on Thyroid medication. I am feeling very tired and short of breath with exertion. Cannot get into the heart specialist for another three weeks.
Hello, I have gone carefully through your concern. Yes, Hashimoto thyroiditis may have advanced during these 6 months and hypothyroidism can be installed. I would recommend to check; -TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 level.
