Does Tooth Extraction Cause Ear Pain, Cough And Congestion?
I had a tooth extraction not long ago and since then I have had what I would describe as black gunk in my right ear with an ear ache. I am also experiencing sinus issues, sore throat and cough with congestion. The tooth was on the top right side. Should I be concerned about the black gunk and ear pain?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms extraction of the upper jaw molar tooth can at times cause perforation of the sinus floor leading to ORO-ANTRAL FISTULA and at times it leads to sinus infection, congestion, cough and sore throat.. But black gunk or deposit in ear and ear ache are signs of ear infection and you should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and treatment can be planned according to the confirmation of diagnosis..
Hope this information helps..
