Does Toothpaste Affect The Eyes If There Is An Accidental Contact?

Hi, I got tooth paste in my eye. Is it harmful? I was brushing my teeth and then i accidently jabbed my toothbrush in my eye. It stung for like 20 seconds but then it kind I stopped. It's still watering though. I rinsed it out with water. Now what should

I do? Is this harmful?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Presence of chemical in tooth paste can result in some irritation to eye and spread of infection.
Watering could be from irritation or infection, better to put ciprofloxacin eye drops prophylactically, 4 times a day for minimum 3 days.
If you develop any redness or worsening of symptom consult your doctor.
