Does Uptake In The Knee Hot Spots After Partial Knee Replacement Mean Requirement Of Full Knee Replacement?
Had a partial knee replacement on 2-11-2013,never seem to feel right. Went back to work in May, and within the next couple of weeks I was limping by the time I left work-on my feet all day. Went back to see PA and he took x-rays and said everything looked good was going to take a year at least to heal. Went back to see the Dr in October 2013 and he wanted a bone scan done-it showed a lot of "uptake in the whole knee-hot spots. Now he states I need a full knee replacement? Why would it be blk on the bone scan?

it is very strange to diagnose failure of knee replacement on basis of bone scan. I would like you to take second opinion from other surgeon. I think physiotherapy can help you. Do not go for knee replacement in a hurry.
