Just wondering if swelling of the urethral opening will eventually subside on its on or if treatment is required? Felt like UTI due to burning and pain on urination but after 6 days of Cipro and 3 days of Pyridium still having pain to area and it is swollen.
In the case of infection of the outer urethra, swelling can develop, and inflammation leads to redness and swelling. So for treatment of it, urine culture needs to be done to check the sensitivity of antibiotics.
Urine routine microscopic examination also should be done. Drink lots of water. Avoid excess spicy foods. Cranberry juice extract tablet useful. Please provide your reports for giving more comments and consult urologists for examination and get a prescription.
