Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have real bad hives from my underarms to my elbows its all one big hive also behind my knees and also on my thighs. dr told me its not scabies and he thinks my crestor may be causing an allergic reaction. does this sound right because i quit taking 4 days ago and its worse
Scabies is characterised by intense nocturnal itching and so if you do have scabies then you should have this symptom. If not, then an allergic reaction needs to be ruled out.
If you are on any other medications then an allergic reaction to them needs to be ruled out as well. Wait for another 2-4 days and also initiate anti-histamine medications to confirm a diagnosis of an allergic reaction.
Best wishes.
