I got a really bad U.T.I about a year ago, I started to have Incontinence. I went to my Dr. and they gave me antibiotics and anti bladder spasm medications. It worked, my U.T.I was gone but my bladder leaking never stopped. I've gone to a urologist and have several evasive tests done and been on several bladder medications and yet nothing has helped my incontinence. I just don't understand how a simple urinary tract infection could cause me to be permanently incontinent. Help
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
A urinary tract infection is not the cause of incontinence, but it is the associated symptoms with underlying condition which caused incontinence and there was simultaneous urine infection.
