Hello, I am happy to assist you with information.

Bartholin cysts can of course become infected and drain foul-smelling material. In this case, we say an abscess has developed.

You may want to try soaking your bottom in a warm bath, with a cup or two of epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) added to the water. However, if you continue to have itching, discharge, pain and odor over the next few days, you should see your physician. It is possible you will need to have the cyst/abscess drained. Your doctor may also choose to treat you with antibiotics.

Best of luck, and I hope you find this information useful!
