Does Vomiting Without Fever Indicate A Spring Flu?
im looking find information about what others are lableing as a stomach bug in my area Roswell n.m.? my 23 month niece is vomiting without fever her mother had same sypmtoms in the past 48 hrs. mom suffered with diareha not sure can you tell me if it might be a spring flu? YYYY@YYYY
It sounds more like a viral flu. It could be something that they ate, as some food relating illness are self-limiting and don't cause fever. They usually don't require antibiotics or hospitalisation. Would I would recommend is plenty of fluids and soups to get over this phase. Also, do advise your niece and her mother about hand washing. Arguments against spring flu (or the winter bug in some areas) include high fevers, blood stained diarrhoea with or without pain and a very sick patient. If this goes on longer than72 hours, it may be a point to have her seen by you local doctor. Hopefully the worse will be over by then.
