Does Wearing Invisalign Braces In The Mouth Cause Severe Constipation?

I'm wearing invisalign braces 4 months now and have developed serious constipation. I never had bowel/digestion issues before. I wear the invisalign braces everyday for 22 hours a day.

I decided to stop wearing the invisalign braces for the last 5 days and I'm regular again.

Would you know what is it about wearing this in my mouth that could be causing this constipation?

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain braces are not a cause for constipation rather at times after wearing braces due to changing position of the teeth and also pain in moving teeth can cause improper or incomplete chewing of food leading to disturbance in digestion and absorption and all of this can cause constipation..

At times stress can be a cause for such symptoms...

I would suggest you to consult your Orthodontist and get evaluated who can advise you proper diet that can be taken while wearing braces that can help in.preventing constipation..
Also try to chew your food well before swallowing..
Take more of fibres in the form of salads and green vegetables..
You can also drink warm water..
You can go moderate workout daily..
Stool softener like Docusate can help..
Avoid strwas..
