I got married few months back. I am getting regular periods. I am slightly overweight . I wanna reduce my weight. can i join gym? will it affect my regular periods? will it affect my pregnancy?(i am not pregnant now) i wanna reduce 10 kg ...then on i will maintain at home. is it ok? hi sweta...
u can join gym to reduce ur weight..there is no harm.. but remember u need to focus on aerobic exercises mainly..do not do heavy weight exercises..use treadmill and jogger.. and bicycle ergometer also...
during pregnancy upto six months also u can continue aerobic exercises...

its good that u are not suffering from thyroid problem but according to ur family H/O diabetic , first u have to rule out diabetic problem, if it comes normal then u can join weight reduction program . it will not effect ur periods and pregnancy but remember avoid irrational e medicine and use slow and steady reduction program for weight reduction.
Hi, as you have rightly decided for reducing you weight, just be focused on poper diet [less salt, sugar, rice, maida and oil]. Do regular brisk walking for 30 to 40 minutes per day in addittion to gym. Doing pranayam for 10 to 15 mts everyday will give you great benefit in totality.

it is better to take chance after weight reduction. You can join gym, it will not affect your periods.Do blood check up if you have not done before as primary measures, as you have family history.
