Done MRI Results Shows, Anterolisthesis Of L5 On S1 With Central Disk Protrusion And Posterocentral Sub Annular Tear. Suggestion?

I had an MRI a few days ago and was reading the report from the radiologist. It said that I have anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 with a broad-based central disk protrusion and posterocentral subannular tear. This sounds somewhat serious. I am familiar with some of these terms but not posterocentral subannular tear . Can you explain.

Hi, welcome to HCM.
Annulus fibrosus is outermost layer of intervertebral disc . Nucleus pulposus is inner most structure of disc.

In some cases inner part comes out through outer fibres known as annular tear. You are suffering from one of its type.
Anterolisthesis of L5 over S1 means there forward migration of lower most lumbar vertebra over upper sscral vertebra.

Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
