Done Blood Work. What Does The Urine Analysis Mean?
Hi, I had blood work done. The Urinalysis Microscopic says that Epithelial cells are 1+ Bacteria 1+ WBC 10-15 Please explain what this means other than ABN(abnormal) Many thanks. Helen
Hello and welcome to HCM
The parameters that you have mentioned in your urine report suggest that is infection in the urinary trat and thae causative agent is bacteris.
There is presence of pus cells or white blood cells and epithelial cells in urine.
The presence of pus cels and epithelial cells indicate infection.
To know the bacteria causing the infection you need to get urine culture done. The causative bacteria will grow in the culture.
A culture sensitivity needs to be done to choose the appropriate antibiotic.
Further in order to avoid infection in future, drink plenty of water and have citrus fruits especially cranberry. You should pass urine after having intercourse.
I hope my answer is of help to you.
Thanks and take care

Welcome to HCM.
WBC 10 to 15 in urine means there is most probably urinary tract infection.
The next step is to do urine culture test and take it from there,
