Done Hemi-arthroplasty Hip. Taking Tylenol. Too Soon To Use One Crutch?

My 73 year old husband had a hemi- arthroplasty left hip (healthy hip) (after a fall ) on Aug 16. He is walking with crutches, and can manage with only one crutch now. Is it too soon to be using only one crutch? He faithfully does the exercises assigned, and takes 1 or 2 Tylenol 3 s daily...mainly at night. He is anxious to drive again. I am worried he is rushing everything. Thank you for your answers. M.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM
If he can manage with only one crutch, it is fine. Do not worry, it is not too early. He can take tylenol as and when required. Continue do physiotherapy exercises as these are very helpful in rehabilitation.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care.
