Hello,

Welcome to the forum. You have not specified the disease that you had been suffering from for which you had to undergo operation. However, I will try to help you.

If you had anal warts removed, you should know that removal of anal warts are generally done as an outdoor procedure and within 5-7 days they get healed. If you had been suffering from anal fissure ( most anal fissures do not require surgery, though exceptions do occur ) they get healed and narcotic pain medications are not suggested as they may worsen the condition by causing constipation.

You can take warm sitz bath 2-3 times a day, you will feel better. You can also use ointments ( nitroglycerine ) that cause relaxation of the anal muscle to get rid of pain. Dietary change will help you, take high fiber diet, take laxatives and stool softeners.

If you had surgery for haemorrhoid or abscess and continue to feel restless, report to the treating doctor, you need to be re-examined. Antibiotics and treatment depend upon the wound. Take care.
