Dribbling Urine Regularly After Laser Prostrate Operation. Rash On Thighs, Pain Near Urethra. Is It Infection ?
I am 62 years old. I had a green light laser operation on my prostate about 4 years ago. Since then, I have dribbles of urine regularly after urinating. I also get diaper rash on my thigh (really stinks) and use the medication that I used on my children when they were in diapers.
Recently, I had a rash and with use of the diaper rash ointment, I felt a pain (looks like a boil) on my penis near the urethra exit. I put the ointment on that area to no avail. There's a whitish looking substance around the area of the infection. I have some 1% Silver Sulfadiazine from an infection on my foot a month ago which got rid of that infection. I was wondering if I oculd use it for this infection on my penis?
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have non healing ulcer covered with necrotic tissue near external meatus.
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .
Clean the area with anti microbial solution like Bitadine twice daily and apply topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporine or 1% silver Sulphadiazine cream twice daily..
I think it should heal up within a week.
