Dry Cough, Chest Pains, Shortness Of Breath, Have Large Hole In One Tooth. Cause?
Hi, I had a cold about 6 weeks ago which lasted for about a week but I am still coughing and can t seem toget rid of it. Its a dry cough and I do t have any chest pains or phlegm . I ve also got a large hole in my tooth at theback of my mouth . I dont know if the cough is associated with this at all but I get shortness of breath when coughing almost like I m gasping for air.
hi
thanks for ur query on HCM
see 4 dry cough and sob there are so many reasons
and u gave a history of a paroxysm of cough
ur history is too breif to diagnose or speculate a case
though u need to have the following investigation done -------------
1. chest x-ray pa view
2. spirometry with bronchodialator reversibility
3. total serum IgE
4. serum eosinophil count
and i think some abnormality ll be ther in these investigations
severe cough may be there also b/c of GERD or AGEI intake
dont u are on the ramipril group medication????????????
if yes need to stop it
for GERD u need to take pantoprazole and itopride daily and look for the improvement
recurrent dental infection and aspiration or microaspiration may also lead to this coughing
consult a pulmonologist
go for the investigations i suggest
u ll get ur answer
thank u
