Dry, Flaky Skin Beside Nostrils. Is It Bacterial Or Viral Infection?
Hi, I have dry, flakey skin in the crease beside my nostrils. It comes and goes. Sometimes it is on both sides, sometimes (now) only on one. It may be something bacterial? Or viral? Nothing about my skincare routine changes. I have been having these occasional rashes(?) for about four years now, all different seasons, doesn't seem to be stress or period related (unlike the cold sores I sometimes get, but that's another story. Or is it?) Thanks in advance for any thoughts, Michele
It seems that you are having a condition called as Seborrhoiec dermatitis.
In this, one gets dry scaly skin on sides of nose, can also involve back of ear . Most often there is associated dandruff also.
But it is nothing to worry about. Its not a bacterial or viral infection.
It is a sort of dermatitis because of dandruff usually.
And it is easily treatable condition.
You can use Eumosone M cream once daily on affected part till it is gone and use some good antidandruff shampoo regularly.
You will definitely improve.
Stay healthy.
