Due For Miscarriage Due To Non Viable Pregnancy, CRP 19. What Is The Reason For High CRP?
hi I was told of a non viable pregnancy and am waiting to miscarry at 4 weeks 4 days they saw gestational sac no yolk sac or fetal pole at 4 weeks 4 days HCG was 844 and CRP was 0.6 at 5 weeks HCG dropped to 598 and CRP was 19.0 extremely high I have spotting but am not passing anything significant yet Why is my CRP so high?
CRP is raised either in a infectious or inflammatory process, the body can recognize the non-viable pregnancy as foreign resulting in an inflammatory process in your reproductive tract, which could cause a raise in CRP.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Development of gestational sac without embryo is called blighted ovum. For more details : http://srsree.blogspot.in/2013/03/early-pregnancy-loss-abortion-1.html
Early elevation of hcg levels can be seen due to the placental tissue. But because of absence of fetal tissue expected rise will not occur. Decreasing hcg levels may indicate absence of embryonic tissue. Rise in CRP (C reactive protein) levels indicate: - Impending abortion or preterm labor -Subclinical infection etc.
So, you can consult gynecologist once and take tablets to induce abortion. Take care.
