HELLO,
Thanks for choosing hcm forum,

As you described,you c/o ear,eye and toothache .

The decayed teeth which got filled has to be checked for periapical or pulpal involvement.
If required, root canal treatment has to be done.

Also check your wisdom teeth impacted or erupted.
The impacted wisdom teeth can cause ear, throat pain etc.
I would suggest you to get a thorough clinical check up with a dentist and from a physician.
hope this helps

hello,

After reading your history i suspect your right hand side tooth is infected either by dental caries or some kind of periapical infection arising from infected nerve tissue .

i would suggest you consult a dentist and get a OPG radiograph done which will show the entire picture of teeth ,periapical areas and spread of infection.

Accordingly infected tooth is treated by root canal procedure to remove the infected nerve tissue and the tooth is devitalised completely to relive pain .

Meanwhile , you can start with analgesics to relive pain .

i hope this helps ,

take care.

HI,

Thanks for asking the query,

Pain in the right side of the face can be because of different ailments .
It can be because of temporomandibular joint disorders which occurs due to jaw injuries , bruxism.
Get complete clinical evaluation of the TMJ done by a dentist.
Take a panoromic x-ray.
Eat soft diet .

Neurological causes such as Trigemminal neuralgia , Glossopharyngeal neuralgia , Bell's Palsy, can lead to facial pain , visit an oral surgeon to rule out the causes .

Pain can also be because of infection in the sinuses , Sinusitis , infection in the ear otitis media . Visit to an ENT specialist and get complete check done .

Infection of the tooth can also be the reason . get an x-ray of the tooth done .
for pain relief you can take tab combiflam 500mg twice daily for 3 days.

Hope this helps out .

Regards..

Dear friend .

Thanks for sharing your concern.

your history suggest that your pain has a dental origin.

when did you get the filling done?if the pain has started after that, then it could be due to secondary caries.you should visit your dentist for removal of old filling in this case.

Another possibility could be due to impacted third molar?Did you check that?for this you must visit your dentist and take a x ray on that side, which will help you to understand if there is any impacted tooth on that side of jaw, causing you such referred pain?

if the above measures do not help, please seek for an oral surgeon and get clinically evaluated for a case of trigeminal neuralgia too, which has got neurogenic origin.( originating from nerves).

meanwhile you can take analgesics for pain.

Hope it helps.

Take care.

Thanks

hi this pain can be due to your wisdom tooth eruption or it may be due to TMJ problem, and your posterior teeth caries and gums pocketing pain can also radiate towards the ear and eyes. contact ENT consultant for an opinion as well. while the cavity is there in your teeth then it can be the cause of the pain as well if the cavity is deep and sensitivity is there.

Dentist Dr. Neha Gupta's  Response
Hello,
I am Dr.Neha Gupta (dentist) and am glad to address to your query here.

A common cause of jaw pain on one side is temporomandibular joint disorder or dysfunction (TMJ/TMD) that affects the temporomandibular joint (jaw joint). In this case, the jaw joints cannot open or close properly. This condition is commonly caused by continuous grinding or clenching of teeth. Regular nail-biting may also cause this problem.
Treatment for temporomandibular joint disorder is decided according to the cause and severity of the condition. Usually, TMJ is treated with pain killers, anti-inflammatory medication, steroids and muscle relaxants. Jaw exercises, relaxation therapies and use of mouth splints or mouth guards are also found to relieve the condition.

Take care and please keep me informed of your progress at healthcaremagic through my profile directly.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
pain may be due to
TMJ dysfunction
trauma
bruxism
The pain may be mild to severe, as per the underlying cause and its severity. It can be persistent or recurring. Some people experience pain, only when they move the jawbones for chewing, talking or yawning. For minor symptoms, wait for a few days, before consulting the doctor. Those with severe and additional symptoms must seek immediate medical attention.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful
