ECH Showed Abnormal Rhythm. What Is The Meaning Of Sinus Tachycardia?
Can you explain the results of my ecg - Vent rate 104 BPM PR int: 163 ms QRS dur: 79 ms QT/QTc 330/390 ms P-R-T axes 53 9 44
sinus tachycardia
abnormal rythm ecg
Dear Sir/Madam Thanks for writing to us. The only abnormality evident in this report is sinus tachycardia with a heart rate of 104 beats per minute. It is marginally high as up to 100 bpm is considered as normal. Rest all parameters are with in normal limits. Sinus tachycardia is heart rate higher than normal but with normal mechanism of heart beat formation. This usually occurs as a secondary phenomenon. This may be secondary to anxiety, stress, smoking/coffee/tea intake prior to test, fever, certain medicines etc. Need to be correlated with clinical scenario. Sincerely Sukhvinder
