Edema In Feet, Body, Severe Body Rashes. Having Shizopan For Many Years. Medicine Side Effect?
My husband is having shizopin for the past 20 years ....since two months he was admitted for oedema of the feet and body...now since a month he has developed body rash that scratches very badly and opens up as small open wounds....presently he is getting treated by a skin specialist.....I would like to know whether schizopin side effects is the skin rash?

hello mam,
the drug shizopin (clozpine) does not usually cause body rash but it can be an idiosyncratic reaction.it mainly causes patient to hyperventilate ,myocarditis ,seizures some cardiovascular effects so edema may be due to drug causing cardiac problems.kindly visit a physician and get it checked.
