Hi, thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic. Eosinophilia is an increase in the level of eosinophils. It can occur due to many reasons like asthma, hay fever and parasitic infections (micro filaria) Drugs like sulphonamides, analgesics and some drugs used in epilepsy also can cause eosinophilia. Of the medication you have specified, only Banocide Forte (Diethyl carbazine) is specific for eosinophilia. This drug is used in filariasis and also in eosinophilia. It results in side effects like nausea, loss of appetite, headache weakness and dizziness. Roccid is Roxithromycin and Zifi-lbx is a combination of Cefixime, Dicloxacillin and Lactobacillus. They are antibiotics and are not used in eosinophilia. Both Roccid and Zifi-lbx can cause gastric irritation among other side effects. Rekool (Rabeprazole) inhibits the production of gastric acid and will reduce the gastric acidity induced by Roccid and Zifi-lbx. Cefixime can cause allergic reactions (hypersensitivity) and kidney damage. Roxithromycin can cause hypersensitivity and liver damage. Cobadex czs and Livogen are only a mutivitamin tablets containing vitamin B and C along with other micronutrients. Both Band C vitamins are water soluble and so excess will get excreted. However, the excipients used in the tablets can result in side effects in some persons. Livogen is given in liver problems like fatty liver. If the cause of your eosinophilia is due to microfilaria, then Diethyl carbazine results in a febrile reaction ie., fever, rash and lymph node enlargement due to mass destruction of microfilaria. Probably that is why these antibiotics were prescribed for you. But the treatment for the febrile reaction produced by Diethyl carbazine is antihistamines like Levocetrizine or Corticosteroids and not antibiotics. I hope this is useful to you.
