Before being diagnosed I would take 2 Nurofen before going to bed as I found that it reduced the times that I got up to go to the Toilet, sometimes not at all. since being diagnosed I have Not taken any Nurofen and find that I am getting up at least 3 times. is it save for me to go back to taking 2 nurofen at night as well as my 2 metformin a day, one morning and one tea time. Please can you help.?

Hello user,
First of all, I would like to inform you the fact that the drug Nurofen is neither anti-diabetic, nor it has any action on urine frequency. It contains Ibuprofen which has analgesic and anti-inflammatory action.(pain killer)

Metformin is surely a anti-diabetic.
IT is absolutely safe to take both drugs simultaneously, but I would rather advice you to reduce the dose of Nurofen from 2 at night to 1 at night, for pain.

hope my info helped you

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Nurofen ( ibuprofen) is available 200-600 mg .
If you are taking 400 mg twice in day it is safe.
But very long time it may damage liver and causes habit formation.
Metformin 500 mg is safe for long time.
Avoid alcohol ,while using nurofen.
Good luck.
