Experiencing Bad Cough After Having A Hysterosalpingogram. Is Taking Naproxen And Ibuprofen Suggested?
Hi. I had a hysterosalpingogram earlier on today. They had to take the speculum out and out it back in as it was in the incorrect position. They also put in about 7 tubes before they found the right one. 9 hours later my stomach still hurts. I can t walk properly because of the pain. I had ibruprofen before the procedure and have had to take naproxen from my husband. I have a bad cough and every time I cough it s agony. I don t know if that s normal? Do I need to be seen again or do I just keep taking painkillers?

Experiencing Bad Cough After Having A Hysterosalpingogram. Is Taking Naproxen And Ibuprofen Suggested?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic It is expected to experience some discomfort after the procedure. You can continue to take the pain killers. The pain should improve within the next 24 to 36 hours. If possible you may also want to get some rest. If the pain does not improve or continues significantly beyond this point then you should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment. I hope this helps
