Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been feeling anxious in the evenings after getting home from work. My symptoms are difficulty breathing and I feel so uncomfortable that I cry. During work when dealing with simple situations such as meetings or even sometimes general conversations I become very nervous for no good reason. I break out in a splotchy rash on my neck and chest and my heart races. I have taken vistaril, buspar, and celexa before but they don't seem to help the random social anxiety that I have trouble with. The only thing that I have found to help is xanax, but I don't want to be dependent on it so I only take it when it's severe or I know in advance I am going to be in a stressful situation. Not currently on a med every day anymore. Is there more success with any of the other drugs?
