Experiencing Burning And Pain At The End Of Urethra. What Is The Treatment?

Hi, for the past 2 weeks after getting rid of a UTI that I had, i have been experiencing terrible burning and pain at what seems like the end of my urethra. It feels like there's an open sore down there, and the burning is constant. The only relief i get is when I have a full bladder or when I actually urinate. I visited a gynecologist this morning and they found absolutely nothing wrong with me. I am very frustrated and don't want to be in pain any longer, but nothing seems to help.

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

The symptoms are likely to be be due to Urinary Tract Infection.

I would suggest you the following

1. Urine routine examination to document the infection along with Urine culture and antibiotic sensitivity

2. Consume plenty of oral fluids-- 2-3 liter a day

3. A course of antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin taken twice a day for 5 days will be helpful.
4. Urinary analgesic like Phenazopridine will be beneficial

If the symptoms worsen, there is fever, worsening of lower abdominal pain , would suggest you to see Surgeon to get an Ultrasound abdomen to rule out ascending infection of Urinary tract

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care

Best Regards
